RECO provides a completely new way to engage with consumers. The RECO SDK transforms your existing retailer app into an invaluable in-store shopping companion. The RECO SDK allows retailers to better reach a targeted audience with the innovative new advertisement and increase their revenue. App users benefit from the exclusive content and offers they receive from their favorite retailers, while publishers and brands create an entirely new revenue stream. RECO SDK is compatible with operating system higher that iOS 7 and Android 4.3 with Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy). Using a beacon is similar to geo-fencing with a Bluetooth LE signal instead of a GPS coordination. It allows for :

  • Region monitoring : monitors the region for devices that have entered/exited the vicinity. You can use this functionality to show contextual aware information defined by the characteristics of the beacon; proximity UUID, major & minor value).
  • Region ranging: allows apps to know the relative distance between a device and beacons and optionally filters by their values. The app can determine which department (such as footwear, clothing, accessories, etc.) is closest by and offer different information.
  • Proximity UUID: 128-bit unique identifier to distinguish your beacons from those others are using.
  • Major : 16-bit unsigned integer to differentiate between beacons within the same proximity UUID
  • Minor : 16-bit unsigned integer to differentiate between beacons with the same proximity UUID and major value
Consider for example a department store that is identified by a particular proximity UUID and major value. Different sections of the store are differentiated further by a different minor value. An app can range region defined by their proximity UUID and major value to provide location-relevant information by distinguishing minor values.

You can check the battery status of individual beacons, make modifications to Proximity UUID, Major, and Minor values, control the TxPower, control the transmission interval and monitor the RSSI values simply through your smartphone. Our Configuration Utility supports the followings.
